Who Can Become An Owl?
Age & Grade Level
We serve students Preschool (ages 3 and 4) through 5th grade. Students must be the appropriate age by September 1st for each grade.
All Income Levels
Families who qualify for Free or Reduced Rate Lunch are given preference; however, all families should apply. We have an economically diverse community.
School Zone & Residence
Students from all over are invited to apply as long as the family is able to provide transportation. Additionally, students zoned to attend schools that are rated At Risk, Below Average, or Below Average by the South Carolina Department of Education are given preference; however, others may apply. What is the Cost?
Cost of Tuition
Families who qualify for Free or Reduced Rate Lunch pay approximately $2 per day ($400 per year) tuition. Families who do not qualify for Free or Reduced Rate Lunch pay additional tuition based upon their income level.

Our optional Extended Day Program costs approximately $1 per day ($200 per year) in addition to the regular tuition.

Complete the Online Application
The online application usually takes 30 minutes. Be prepared with your child’s long-form birth certificate, proof of residency, tax returns, and records request form.
School Visit for Selected Applicants
Families will tour the school and spend time experiencing our actual class rooms.The child will also complete an assessment.
Partnership Meeting for Selected Applicants
Families will be able to learn more about our education program and share your reasons for seeking enrollment at MSA. We will also discuss the child’s curriculum, interests, special needs, and expectations for student life.

Each child’s file is reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
All discussions regarding applications are held in strict confidence. Admission decisions consider the child’s potential for success in MSA’s program. Families will be notified in writing of the Admission Committee’s decision. Reasons for the decision will be kept confidential within the committee, and the decision of the Admission Committee is final. The school reserves the right to retract an offer of admission to a child previously accepted if the final transcript reveals performance or behavior that is unacceptable to MSA’s standard for admission or if any information on the original application is found to be false.
